Developing Access to Culture in the Western Isles
We're part of a small team looking at new ways of engaging the public in choosing what and how cultural activity should be delivered in their area. Our partners are the wonderful Fablevision company, specialists in cultural planning based in Glasgow, and the local Theatre Hebrides. An extensive programme of public consultation through drama and storytelling is planned. To find out more about the project, visit the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar website, or to complete the online questionnaire, follow this link.

A Strategy for Edinburgh's Cultural Facilities
Once again we join forces with our strategic partner, PMP Consulting - the UK's largest leisure consultancy, to undertake an extensive assessment of the Scottish capital's cultural facilities and prepare a prioritised strategy for future provision - from theatres and halls, to the national institutions and the Ross bandstand. A major piece of work for one of the world's great cities.

Past Projects
The projects below are indicative of the range and scope of the type of work we undertake. We have been involved in around 200 projects since 1992 - if you would like to find out if there have been any in the area you are particularly interested in then please contact us.
Leisure Facilities in Inverclyde
This assessment of leisure facilities in Greenock, Gourock and Port Glasgow - led by PMP - provided a strategy for investment over the next 5-10 years for the local authority. An area with many challenges regarding diversity of social background and proximity to a major city and facility provider, Glasgow.
An Events Strategy for North East England
Following on from last year's successful partnership with Edinburgh-based SQW we joined up again to help develop a major events strategy post 2010 for One North East, Culture 10 and the many providers of events in the Newcastle-Gateshead catchment area.
Pathfinder Project - Cultural Entitlements in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire
Creative Services formed part of a team led by Genesis Consulting that undertook the Scottish Executive's Pathfinder Project into Cultural Entitlements. The team were appointed by the joint steering group from Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils.
Transforming Community Services - Scottish Borders Council
A tremendous opportunity within one of Scotland's rural local authorities to explore new and innovative ways of delivering cultural provision in the area, then reflecting this within the local government structure. The change process has to keep a large and geographically disparate staff engaged as well as ensuring other key stakeholders at regional and national level are involved and contributing.
Strategic Advice - Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama
Not just a privilege but a genuine pleasure to work with such a forward-thinking national institution looking to break down the barriers and preconceptions of conservatoire education. The RSAMD has taken massive steps along a change agenda process stretching back several years, but accelerating now with the buy-in of students, staff and public and private funders. This throws up all sorts of ongoing challenges regarding the internal structure of the Academy and, importantly, its engagement with funders.
New radio drama - Radio Scotland
Working in collaboration with the great indie producer, Neon Productions, we produced the script for a new one-off drama based on an imagined discussion between Neil Gow and Robert Burns - and a possibility of further similar commissions. Broadcast in January 2008.
